1. Convenience Store Robberies

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify a man believed connected to a series of convenience store robberies.

Between Saturday, March 7, 2015, and Saturday, June 6, 2015, the 7-Eleven located at 3725 30 Avenue S.E. has been robbed four times. In each of the incidents, the suspect proceeded behind the counter, assaulted the clerk and demanded an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing.

The man is described as Caucasian, between 25 and 40 years old, 5’7” to 6’ tall, approximately 160 pounds, with a medium build and a beard or goatee. He also wears sunglasses and a black hoodie.

2. Bank robbery

At approximately 10:30 a.m., on Monday, June 8, 2015, a man entered and robbed the Scotiabank located in the 800 block of 85 Street S.W., brandishing a firearm and making a verbal demand for money. The man obtained an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank.

The man was disguised, wearing a ski mask, sunglasses and dark coloured clothing. He is approximately 6’ tall, with a medium build.

No one was injured during the robbery.

3. Homicide 

At approximately 12:30 p.m., on Thursday, June 4, 2015, police were called to the pathway under the 5 Avenue Flyover bridge near the intersection of Riverfront Avenue S.E. and 4 Street S.E.  A man was found deceased at the location.

The victim has been identified as Ryan Edward DELVE, 43. Cause of death is not being released at this time.

Investigators continue to interview numerous witnesses and associates, as well as review CCTV. Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between midnight and noon on Thursday is asked to contact police.

This is Calgary’s 11th homicide of 2015.

4. Robbery

On Thursday, June 4, 2015, at approximately 1:30 a.m., an unknown masked man entered the 7-Eleven located at 3725 30 Ave. S.E.

Once inside, the suspect approached the clerk, instructed her to open the tills then proceeded behind the counter. The clerk complied and opened the tills, at which time the suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the till along with several packs of cigarettes before fleeing the store.

The suspect is described as Caucasian male, 18 to 30 years old, 5’5” to 5’7” tall with a medium build.  He was wearing glasses, a black ski mask, black hooded jacket, dark blue jeans, and white runners.

5. Break and Enter – House

On Friday, May 29, 2015, between 8:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m., an unknown culprit or culprits entered a residence located in the 200 block of Scenic Way N.W., through a closed window. A number of firearms were taken from the home along with electronics, cash and a significant amount of jewelry.

6. Break and Enter – Shop

On Thursday, May 28, 2015, just after midnight, two unknown men backed a delivery van up to the front of Pro-Am Motorcycles, located at 117 630 46 Ave. N.E.

The two offenders got out of the van and smashed one of the display windows to gain entry into the premise. They then removed jackets and pants from the display and loaded the items in-to the truck. The value of the stolen goods is estimated at approximately $16,000.

Both suspects were wearing black hoodies, jeans, work boots and gloves.

7. Break and Enter – Detached Garage

Between 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, and 4:30 p.m., on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, unknown offender(s) entered a detached garage in the community of Evergreen, and removed two brand new Santa Cruz longboards, belonging to two young boys.

The stolen longboards have unique deck designs. One is a “Goddess” and the other is a “Screaming Hand”.  Both boards have nose or tail shapes at the back of the board and black tracks. The “Goddess” board has bright yellow wheels.

Police believe that this may have been a targeted theft, as other valuable items were left behind.
