Cold Cases are unsolved criminal investigations which remain open pending the discovery of new evidence. New information could emerge from additional witness testimony, new or retained material evidence, as well as fresh activities of the suspect. New technological advances developed after the case can be used on the surviving evidence to identify suspects or leads, often with conclusive results.
Your tips can help solve these cases and bring closure to those affected by the crime.

HOLLY JO-ANN BALZER
Case #LG13176337 / 3299
The Calgary Police Service and Crime Stoppers are working together to continue investigating historical missing persons cases.
We are asking for the public’s help to gather information regarding Holly Jo-Ann BALZER, who was 46 at the time of her disappearance. Holly was reported missing from Calgary, Alberta on May 18, 2013, after her family had not heard from or seen her for approximately two months.
The investigation has been ongoing, and members of the Calgary Police Service Missing Persons Team would like to identify and speak with people who have information about Holly and her whereabouts after March 2013.
Holly is described as 5’9” tall, approximately 93 pounds, with a slim build, green eyes and blonde hair. She does not have teeth but sometimes wears dentures and has a red birthmark on the back of her neck. It is unknown what she was wearing when she went missing.

Monique MATTAR

Seeking public assistance in historic missing person case
The Calgary Police Service and Crime Stoppers is working together to re-investigate historical missing persons cases.
Monique MATTAR, 44, was last seen in the northeast community of Greenview on Monday, April 20, 2009, at 5 pm.
The investigation has been ongoing, and members of Calgary Police Missing Persons Team would like to identify and speak with people who have information about MATTAR and identify her whereabouts after April 2009.
MATTAR is 5’6” tall, approximately 134 pounds, with brown eyes, and black shoulder length hair. MATTAR also has a tribal tattoo on her lower back. It is unknown what she was wearing when she went missing.

Banff - Unidentified Remains
Case #2018-1868030
Banff, Alta. – On July 11, 1998, a local tour guide located human remains on the back side of Sulphur Mountain in Banff National Park (via Cosmic Ray Road).
To date, despite the on-going investigation spanning over 20 years, the remains have yet to be identified.
DNA was obtained from the remains and has been uploaded into the National DNA Data Bank (NDDB)), additionally, potential missing person’s files were cross referenced and ruled out by either DNA and/or dental records. There are not any known missing person’s cases outstanding that match this particular case.
There were several items located in the area of the remains including keys with a War Amps key tag, pictures, and wallet.
The summary of the Medical Examiner Forensic Anthropologist’s reports indicates the deceased is:
- an adult male
- age range between 19-35, likely closer to 25
- 5’10” tall (177.8 cm +/-3.27 cm)
- Caucasian
- time of death is greater the 2 years prior to 1998
- Male possibly had rickets in infancy.
Two composite sketches have been done (in 2001 and 2018) in an effort to show what the male may have look like.
Description of items that were located in the area of the remains:
- Chrysler key (70’s-80’s, no vehicle was recovered)
- T.B. Vets tag with the Arms of B.C. (records are not kept prior to 1997)
- Black leather wallet with the word “Amity” in gold letters
- Pictures enclosed in the wallet
- Faint markings on the reverse side of the second partial photo contained the address 524 6 ieme ave Nord, St-Antoine, J7Z-5H9 (attached photo “Wallet Pic 2”)
The Banff RCMP are asking seeking assistance from the public in identifying the male and reuniting him with his family.
Moui NGUYEN

Seeking public assistance in historic missing person case
The Calgary Police Service and Calgary Crime Stoppers have joined together to continue investigating historical missing persons cases.
We are asking for the public’s help to gather information regarding the disappearance of Moui NGUYEN, also known as “Ni”, who was 29 years old when she was reported missing. Her family last saw her in Calgary in January of 1990. NGUYEN was a refugee from Vietnam who arrived in Calgary from Thailand in the mid 1980s. NGUYEN worked in Downtown Calgary at a coffee shop and a clothing store called La Quinta Fashions located at 855 2 Street S.W.
It was reported at the time that NGUYEN had ended a relationship with an intimate partner shortly before her disappearance.
The investigation has been ongoing, and members of the Calgary Police Service Missing Persons Team would like to identify and speak with people who have information about NGUYEN and her whereabouts after January 1990.

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to locate Lisa MACEACHERN, 51, who was last seen and spoken to in Calgary sometime in early June 2018.
The investigation has been ongoing, and members of the Calgary Police Service Missing Persons Team would like to identify and speak with anyone who may have information about MACEACHERN and her whereabouts after June 2018.
MACEACHERN is described as 5’6” tall, approximately 130 pounds, with brown eyes and red hair. MACEACHERN also has tattoos on her shoulders with four hearts and flowers. It is unknown what she was wearing when she went missing.

Anita Grace WECHSLER

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to locate a missing Calgary woman.
Anita Grace WECHSLER, 36, was last seen and spoken to in Calgary sometime in July 2019, however she was not reported missing until May 2020.
The investigation has been ongoing, and members of the Calgary Police Service Missing Persons Team would like to identify and speak with people who have information about WECHSLER and her whereabouts after July 2019. Information was not released previously to the public as it was not out of character for her to communicate infrequently with family and friends.
WECHSLER is described as 5’4” tall, approximately 145 pounds, with green eyes and black hair.
WECHSLER was also known to frequent Grande Prairie and Lethbridge, Alberta, and the Province of Newfoundland.

Roxanne & Don Carlson

On February 15, 2014 unknown culprit(s) entered the residence located at 12202 Lake Erie Road South East, and murdered the home owners Roxanne and Don Carlson.
There is no known motive associated to their deaths.
Allan Richard TEATHER
Case #LG08010649
On January 9, 2008, Allan Richard TEATHER was shot and killed in the parkade of a southwest condo complex in the 100 block of Village Heights SW. The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is currently investigating the file and believe the murder may have been financially motivated.
Investigators are seeking information from anyone who may have known TEATHER or who were in contact with him during the days leading up to his murder. Police are particularly interested in information with respect to his close friends from this time period.
Chu Wong KUNG
Case #LG46001553
On September 29, 1946, shortly after midnight, police located Chu KUNG lying on the ground near the intersection of 3rd Street and 2 Avenue SE. Kung was suffering from injuries to the head. KUNG was transported to hospital where he later died. Police believed this was a possibly a robbery gone bad.
Thomas HALL
Case #LG48001545
On July 10, 1948, the current tenant of a residence in the 1800 block of 20 Avenue NW was repairing floorboards when he discovered the body of Thomas HALL hidden underneath the floor. The suspect(s) had sawed out a section of the floor joists to create the “grave”.
Police believe that HALL was killed sometime in March of 1929 as that is the time he went missing and was last seen.
Elizabeth SIMPSON
Case #LG51001541
On June 17, 1951, the body of Elizabeth SIMPSON was located in a room inside of 316 7 Avenue SE. It appeared that SIMPSON was attacked, which resulted in her death.
Patricia BEATON
Case #LG68015726
On June 14, 1968, the body of Patricia BEATON (15 years old at the time) was found in Sandy Beach Park located at 4500 14A Street SW. It appeared BEATON was attacked, which resulted in her death.
Chui Wai YEE
Case #LG69027922
On September 9, 1969 at around 9:00 PM, Chui YEE was found by police in the on 1 Street NW between 11 and 12th Avenue suffering trauma to the head. YEE had been assaulted by two unknown younger males who fled the scene before police arrived. YEE was rushed to hospital but later died.
George William GREEN
Case #LG71025205
On July 17, 1971 at around 7:00 AM, the badly beaten body of George GREEN was found in the parking lot of the New Noble Hotel located at 119 12th Avenue SW.
GREEN was last seen alive at around 1:30 AM leaving the lounge of the hotel. It appeared that he was attacked near his vehicle in the parking lot in an apparent robbery.
David Edward LEE
Case #LG72026720
On July 6, 1972, David LEE was working the night shift as a clerk at the 7-11 Food Store located at 2320 4 Street NW. Between the hours of 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM, an unknown suspect entered the store, took money out of the tills and shot and killed LEE.
Sophorn KIM
Case #LG05182169
On June 4, 2005 at approximately 10:28 PM, Sophorn KIM was driving in a vehicle in the 1000 block of Barlow Trail SE. Unknown suspects pulled their vehicle beside KIM’s vehicle and began shooting into it. KIM died as a result of his injuries.
Peter HUYNH
Case #LG05163044
On May 20, 2005 at approximately 7:00 PM, Peter HUYNH was inside of his vehicle at the Turbo Gas station located at 4527 8 Avenue SE. An unknown suspect approached the vehicle and fired multiple rounds striking and killing HUYNH.
John PHENG
Case #LG05062579
On February 26, 2005 at approximately 12:50 AM, John PHENG was in the Shaken Drink Bar located at 1137 17 Avenue SW. An unknown group of males encountered PHENG in the bar and shot and killed him.
Long DINH
Case #LG05031418
In the early morning hours on January 29, 2005, unknown suspects forced their way into Warehouse Nightclub located at 731 10 Avenue SW and severely attacked two bouncers who were trying to prevent them from entering.
Once inside, the suspects located Long DINH and attacked him. DINH was transported by EMS to hospital but died of his injuries.
Vinh LE

In the early morning hours on December 29, 2002, Vinh LE was at the Auxillary Nightclub located at 512 6 Street SW. An unknown suspect shot and killed LE inside the nightclub.
Linjuy LY
Case #LG02383573
On December 29, 2002 at approximately 4:10 PM, Linju LY was in front of his home in the 900 block of Robert Road NE. While LY was outside, a dark coloured SUV pulled beside LY and shot and killed him.
Ren KIM
Case #LG01314124
On October 7, 2001 at approximately 01:30 AM, Ren KIM was one of a number of people involved in an altercation in the parking lot of the Westgate Hotel located at 3440 Bow Trail SW. During the altercation, an unknown suspect injured KIM. Kim was transported to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Rae LACHARITY
Case #LG97239866
On October 9, 1997, Rae LACHARITY got into a vehicle at the Shell Gas Station located at 1304 14 Street SW. LACHARITY was backing the vehicle out of the stall when an unknown suspect shot and killed LACHARITY.
Alfred MUELLER
Case #LG91087675
On October 11, 1991, a friend who was concerned for MEULLER’s welfare, went to check on him and discovered Mueller’s body inside his apartment located in the 900 block of Barberry Walk SW. MUELLER’s death was determined to be a homicide.
Ngeng POOVONG
Case # LG89010581
On February 26, 1989 at approximately 1:20 AM, police responded to a large fight at the Marlborough Park Community Association. Upon arrival, police located Ngeng POOVONG, who had been attacked and was transported to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
POOVONG was a bouncer for the event and was trying to keep the peace.
Marie MALLOY

In the early morning hours on April 22, 1988, Emergency Services were called to an apartment fire at 1015 Cameron Avenue SW. During the incident, the body of Marie MALLOY was located inside the lobby of the building. MALLOY’s death was determined to be a homicide.
Denise LAPIERRE
Case #LG87036370
On June 22, 1987, police located the body of Denise LAPIERRE in the back alley of the 100 block of 20 Avenue NE. LAPIERRE’s death was determined to be a homicide.
Louis TETRAULT
Case #LG87026330
On May 9, 1987, the body of Louis TETRAULT was located behind the 1800 block 54 Street SE. TETRAULT’s death was determined to be a homicide.
Peter ARMOUR
Case #LG87006372
In the early morning hours on February 4, 1987, police responded to an assault at the National Hotel located at 1042 10 Avenue SE. Upon arrival, police located Peter ARMOUR injured and lying on the sidewalk after being attacked. ARMOUR died at scene as a result of his injuries.
John ERAIS
Case #LG86051398
In the early morning hours on September 24, 1986, police received a call of a disturbance in the parking lot near 750 5 Street SE. Upon arrival, police located John ERAIS inside of his vehicle. ERAIS had been attacked and died at scene as a result of his injuries.
Steven JOELL
Case #LG84003341
In the early morning hours on January 22, 1984, Steven JOELL was shot inside his residence located in the 200 block of 28 Avenue NW. JOELL was rushed to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Ronald MOORE
Case #LG83033368
On June 10, 1983, Ronald MOORE got into his vehicle outside his residence located in the 1100 block of 15 Avenue NE. While MOORE was sitting inside his vehicle, an explosion occurred, which killed MOORE. His death was determined to be a homicide.
Floyd OUELLETTE
Case #LG82077551
On December 19, 1982, police located the body of Floyd OUELLETTE in the river near 1 Street SW. OUELLETTE’s death was determined to be a homicide.
Eugene SCHOENBERGER
Case #LG81071949
On December 4, 1981, Eugene SCHOENBERGER was working in his jewellery store located at 131A 6 Avenue SE when he was shot to death during a robbery at the store.
Joseph ROSLANOWSKI
Case #LG81035624
On June 23, 1981 at approximately 10:15 AM, Joseph ROSLANOWSKI had been assaulted by an unknown male near 300 12 Avenue SE. Police located ROSLANOWSKI who was in medical distress and he was transported to hospital.
ROSLANOWSKI died several days later as a result of his injuries.
Raymond HAMILTON
Case #LG90011755
On February 24, 1990, Raymond HAMILTON was located lying in the grass near 5 Avenue and 3 Street SE. Raymond had been attacked and died at scene as a result of his injuries.
Jennifer JANZ
Case #LG91069273
On August 13, 1991, the body of Jennifer JANZ was located near the Trans-Canada Highway and Valleyridge Road NW. JANZ’s death was determined to be a homicide.
James SCHLEPPE
Case #LG92042230
In the early morning hours on September 28, 1991, James SCHLEPPE was found on the side of the Trans-Canada Highway near the intersection of Valley Ridge Road NW suffering major injuries. SCHLEPPE was transported to hospital where he later died. Investigators determined that his death was caused by homicide.
Anita GILAVISH
Case #LG92005189
On January 18, 1992, the body of Anita GILAVISH was located in a pond at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. GILAVISH’s death was determined to be a homicide.
Gene MCMASTER
Case #LG92066233
On August 8, 1992, the body of Gene MCMASTER was located in a field near 50 Avenue & 68 Street SE by some people off-roading. MCMASTER’s death was determined to be a homicide.
Rebecca BOUTILIER
Case #LG93010164
On March 11, 1993, Rebecca BOUTILIER’s body was located in a field near the intersection of Mcknight BLVD and 68 Street NE. BOUTILIER’s death was determined to be a homicide.
Manakim ACHARI
Case #LG97013866
On January 19, 1997 at 2:40 PM, Manakim ACHARI’s body was located inside his residence in the 6000 block of Madigan Drive NE. ACHARI’s death was determined to be a homicide.
Florence PARKKARI
Case #LG97276365
Sometime between the evening of November 22, 1997 and the morning of November 23, 1997, unknown suspect(s) entered the home of Florence PARKKARI in the 100 block of Gloucester CR SW. Once inside, the suspect(s) attacked PARKKARI, resulting in her death.
Aaron SHOULDERS
Case #LG03233304
On August 17, 2003 at approximately 0230 hours, a confrontation took place between two groups of individuals that escalated with Aaron SHOULDERS being attacked by an unknown male.
SHOULDERS was transported to hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Mathew ANDERSON
Case #LG04323973
On October 16, 2004 at approximately 03:58 AM, Mathew Anderson was out walking with friends in the 100 block of 3 Avenue SW. Unknown suspects began attacking ANDERSON and his friends. Anderson and his friends fled in a vehicle; however, the suspect began shooting at the vehicle which struck and killed ANDERSON.
Constable Arthur Duncan

In the early morning hours of July 2, 1917, Constable Arthur Duncan was walking beat duty and was near the intersection of 8 Avenue & 8 Street SW. Cst. Duncan accidentally stumbled across one or more suspects recovering their stolen property underneath the Revelstoke Lumber Co. One of the suspects, shot Cst. Duncan with a Colt .45 revolver, the same one thought to be reported stolen from a pawn shop the night before. Cst. Duncan was killed, but likely never realized what happened as the incident occurred so quickly. A $1000 cash reward was offered, but no suspect was ever found.
Inspector Joe CARRUTHERS

On June 13, 1933, in the early morning hours, Inspector Joe Carruthers and other officers responded to reports of a house prowler in the 2200 block of 16A Street West in the Scarborough area. Upon coming into the area, a suspect was spotted and Insp. Carruthers and another officer gave chase and became separated.
As Insp. Carruthers raised his flashlight looking for the suspect in the back alley in the 200 block of Superior Avenue, the suspect opened fire. A bullet passed through Insp. Carruthers chest and he died immediately. His killer was never found.
Terrie Ann DAUPHINAIS

**FILE SOLVED**
Sometime in the evening of April 28, 2002 to the early morning hours of April 29, 2002 someone attacked, and murdered, Terrie Ann DAUPHINAIS in her family home located at 198 Citadel Peak Circle N.W.
Terrie DAUPHINAIS’ three children were found alive in the home upon police arrival. Terrie’s estranged husband was not living at the residence at the time. Police conducted numerous inquiries after the murder but the case went cold.
NEW INFORMATION has come forward to police causing the file to be reopened by Cold Case Homicide Investigators.
Police are looking for more witnesses. This may include friends, neighbors and colleagues who have information no matter how small it may seem. Investigators understand that over the course of 16 years relationships change, as do alliances and loyalties. Police would like to appeal to those persons who would now like to come forward.
Cold Case Investigators say every person has a piece of the puzzle and its just a matter of collecting all the pieces.
Daniel Morgan BOYSIS (Daniel Morgan TURNER)

**FILE SOLVED**
Sometime in late 1996, Daniel Morgan BOYSIS (Daniel Morgan TURNER) went missing. His disappearance was ultimately deemed a homicide. The Calgary Police Service -Unsolved Homicide Unit is investigating the file and believes the murder was financially motivated.
Investigators are seeking information from anyone who may have known BOYSIS at the time of his disappearance. Police are particularly interested in information with respect to his roommates, friends and neighbors from this time period.
BOYSIS was last known to be living in the Falconridge area of Calgary.
2015 Arson
Case #LG15453290
In an attempt to uncover new leads in a 2015 arson, the Calgary Police Service Arson Unit is releasing a video of the fire in progress and asking the public to come forward with any information they may have.
At approximately 4:10 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, the Calgary Fire Department and the Calgary Police Service were called to a residential fire in the 4200 block of Elbow Drive S.W. The fire caused extensive damage to the residence. The fire was determined to be suspicious and an investigation ensued.
As part of a review of unsolved arson cases, detectives are hoping information will come to light to assist in furthering the investigation.
“It has been nearly two years since this fire. Our hope is that during the past couple years, people may have heard someone speak about it, or may have witnessed someone in the area and not yet come forward. Allegiances change. People talk. We hope someone does the right thing and comes forward,” says Det. Wally Niewchas. “This was a very serious fire and we are lucky no one was hurt.”
Dat LE & Chuong TRAN

On July 9, 2005 at 4:58 PM, a gunman walked up to a parked vehicle in the 7100 block of Temple Drive NE and began shooting into the vehicle. Dat LE and Chuong TRAN were sitting in the vehicle and died as a result of their gunshot injuries.
Davinder KAJLA & Marc COTE
Case #LG05290577
On August 27, 2005 at approximately 2:55 AM, Marc COTE & Davinder KAJLA were shot and killed in the parking lot located in the 100 block of 3 Avenue SW.
Taranjot TOOR
Case #LG05419022
On December 9, 2005 at approximately 3:15 PM, 1 year old Taranjot TOOR was suffering severe medical distress at a residence located on Taradale Drive NE. EMS arrived and transported the child to the hospital.
On December 10, 2005, the hospital reported TOOR had died under suspicious circumstances.
Tan DIEP
Case #LG06079222
On March 8, 2006 at approximately 11:00 PM, Tan DIEP was sitting in a vehicle at the intersection of Barlow Trail and 50 Avenue SE. An unknown vehicle pulled up beside them and began shooting into the vehicle striking two of the occupants. DIEP and the other passenger were driven to the hospital where DIEP died of his injuries.
Brenda MEYERS
Case #LG06092172
On the evening of March 19, 2006, Brenda MEYERS was closing Madison’s Café which was located at 3802 Brentwood Road NW.
At approximately 11:35 PM, the Calgary Fire Department received a call of a fire alarm at Madison’s Café. During the incident, Emergency Services located the body of MEYERS and determined her death to be a homicide.
Thanh DO

On August 24, 2006, at 10:29 hours, police were called to the back alley along MacEwan Meadow Way NW. Neighbours had reported a vehicle that appeared abandoned. Police arrived and located the body of Thanh DO in the vehicle.
Tyrone WALKER
Case #LG06304959
On August 29, 2006 at 8:29 PM, police were called to the 600 block of 12 Avenue SE in regards to gunshots. Upon arrival, police located the body of Tyrone WALKER, who had been shot and killed in a vacant lot.
Jamie MCWILLIAM
Case #LG06376717
On October 26, 2006 at approximately 02:25 AM, Jamie MCWILLIAM was walking with several people in the area of 13 Street and Cameron Avenue SW. They were approached by two unknown suspects who engaged in a physical struggle with MCWILLIAM which resulted in him being stabbed by the suspects. MCWILLIAM was transported to hospital but died of his injuries.
Christian BLONDEAU & Daniel KUNZ
Case #LG07078502
On March 9, 2007, at 9:22 PM, police were called in response to two people being stabbed underneath the 5th Avenue flyover bridge, just east of the Drop In Centre (423 4 Avenue SE). Police arrived and located Christian BLONDEAU & Daniel KUNZ stabbed to death.
Son NGUYEN
Case #LG07124153
On April 16, 2007 at approximately 8:20 PM, Son NGUYEN was pulling into the garage of his home on Saddlecrest Blvd NE when an unknown suspect shot and killed him.
Minh TRUONG
Case #LG07181384
On June 1, 2007 at approximately 12:30 AM, Minh TRUONG was shot outside of his home in the 100 block of Hamptons Circle NW by an unknown suspect.
Jacqueline CRAZYBULL
Case #LG07236097
On July 11, 2007 at approximately 4:00 AM, Jacqueline CRAZYBULL was walking with her cousin near the intersection of 17 Avenue and 11 Street SW. CRAZYBULL was approached by 3 unknown black suspects and was attacked by them. CRAZYBULL was rushed to hospital where she later died of her injuries.
Within the next hour, four other attacks took place across the city. CRAZYBULL was the only victim to die of her injuries. The identities of the four other victims have not been released.
Tajmmal PARACHA
Case #LG07270719
On August 5, 2007 at approximately 2:55 AM, Tajmmal PARACHA was driving westbound in the 200 block of 4 Avenue SW.
Unknown suspects drove beside PARACHA and fired at his vehicle, killing him.
Martin MANYIEL
Case #LG07300644
On August 28, 2007 at approximately 8:53 PM, Martin MANYIEL was discovered by police lying on the ground off to the side of the road at 6 Street and 5 Avenue SE. MANYIEL had been killed by an unknown suspect.

On September 21, 2007, at approximately 4:10 AM, Clifford HAMILTON was found dead in the back alley in the 2500 block of 56 Street NE. Upon autopsy, it was determined to be a homicide.
ROCHELLE MANGUINAO

On September 23, 2007, Rochelle MANGUINAO (A.K.A – Ziggy PECSON) had attended the Plush Lounge at 205 9 Avenue SE for a birthday party. At approximately 2:05 hours, MANGUINAO was taken outside by a group of males and an argument ensued. During the argument, MANGUINAO was attacked by the unknown suspects and was fatally stabbed by one of the attackers.
Mark KIM

On December 31, 2007 at approximately 10:58 AM, Mark KIM had just left a scheduled probation meeting and began walking down the back alley in the 600 block of 8 Street SW. Unknown suspects approached KIM in a dark colored SUV and shot and killed him.
Levan VAN DER ROSS

On May 7, 2008, at approximately 2:07 PM., police responded to shots being fired in the 4500 block of Vandergrift Crescent NW. Upon arrival, police located Levan VAN DER ROSS sitting in a vehicle with another male. Both had suffered gunshot wounds. VAN DER ROSS was transported to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Gurjinder DHILLON

On June 28, 2008 at approximately 3:40 AM, Gurjinder DHILLON was at the Little Beijing Café located at 2111 Centre Street North. DHILLON and his friend were eating in the restaurant, when an unknown group of suspects attacked both of them and fatally stabbed DHILLON.
Yee Sung CHIN

On July 5, 2008, at approximately 10:40 PM, Yee Sung (Roger) CHIN was driving southbound in the 5400 block of Centre Street North. CHIN was shot at and struck several times before he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. CHIN was pronounced dead at scene.

On July 26, 2008, at approximately 11:22 PM, Tuc (Tony) TRAN had parked his vehicle on the north curb of the 100 block of 2 Avenue SE and was waiting in the vehicle. An unknown suspect approached the vehicle and fired several shots into the vehicle killing TRAN. The unknown suspect was described as 5’8”, wearing dark colored clothing and fled west on 2 Avenue SE after the shooting.

On January 27, 2017, at about 5:26 PM, an unknown male suspect entered the Scotiabank, located at 2525 Woodview Drive SW, and approached the teller. The suspect presented the teller with a note demanding money and indicating he had a gun. The suspect was given money and he left the bank. The suspect was described as a black male in his early 30’s, 5’6” tall, 150 lbs, medium build and unshaven. He was wearing a black and grey Under Armour jacket, black pants, grey toque, red shirt, grey hiking shoes and plastic safety glasses. He also had a black satchel slung over his shoulder.

On March 1, 2017, at about 7:05 PM, an unknown male suspect entered the BMO bank, located at 101 Crowfoot Way NW and approached a teller. The suspect presented the teller with a note demanding money and indicating he had a gun. The teller withdrew money from the CRU and gave it to the suspect. The suspect then left the bank in the direction of the Big Bucket Carwash. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, 5’7”, 140 lbs wearing a dark blue or black jacket, blue jeans, blue shoes, sports sunglasses, a knitted hat with mixed red and orange.

On October 12 1993, at approx. 8:40 pm two teenage girls were walking on the median of Deerfoot Tr. A truck swerved toward them narrowly missing one and striking 14 year old Tanya Miller. She was severely injured, having to be treated for a broken pelvis, broken arm and head injuries which required corrective surgery. The driver left the young girl lying there and fled the scene. The truck was a 1977-1979 Ford F250 Custom with a broad green stripe on both sides. At the time of the collision, the left front fender was painted primer grey.
