- On July 6, 1972, David LEE was working the night shift as a clerk at the 7-11 Food Store located at 2320 4 Street NW. Between the hours of 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM, an unknown suspect entered the store, took money out of the tills and shot and killed LEE.
